Paint on an open cardboard box. I've also just discovered poster paints (been avoiding them due to trying to expose kids to 'quality art materials' drill) but hey, this stuff washes off. Blues and purples can be harder to remove.Tip from a friend: use hairspray to remove just about any stain of clothing, spray on, throw in the wash while wet.
